Translate Multilingual sites – TranslatePress

Experience a better way to translate your WordPress site and go multilingual, directly from the front-end using a visual translation interface.

TranslatePress is a WordPress translation plugin that anyone can use.

The interface allows you to easily translate the entire page at once, including output from shortcodes, forms and page builders. It also works out of the box with WooCommerce.

Built the WordPress way, TranslatePress – Multilingual is a GPL and self hosted translation plugin, meaning you’ll own all your translations, forever. It’s the fastest way to create a bilingual or multilingual site.

I have used several multilingual plugins on various websites over many years. I consider TranslatePress to be the best and least invasive approach to implementing multilingual pages in WordPress. The translation of an entire website is comparatively quick to implement. The biggest advantage: posts are not duplicated for each new language, as this leads to confusion and large websites. Content changes only need to be made in one place. The translation can be carried out automatically or manually. Recommendation: definitely try it out.

I have been using Translatepress for a while now and love it. Unlike other translation plugins, it doesn’t create new posts, so you have a better overview and don’t have to make all the changes multiple times.

Its by far the most expensive plugin i’ve bought for wordpress, my domain + server host for 1year is cheaper than TranslatePress, has with most of us users. But if you expect that the price of plugin translates to quality of the team developing, you would be wrong to assume it. Support is non-existent, you will be left alone with the bugs you get from the translation process. No one will ever answer your emails and if you get an answer is an automated one with no further assistance. And believe me, YOU WILL have bugs when translating your website if you have a non-generic website with elementor or any slider plugin. And you will never get the support you need for this 200€+ plugin team.

In my personal experience, this plugin does not live up to its own expectations. Some of the core features advertised (paid version) did not work. However, the support eventually solved the case, so thanks. I hope they fix the bugs soon, as the plugin itself looks very promising. I decided to go with a native multi-site as a solution 🙂
