Go to **Plugins Add New**. 2. Search for **Magnet Media Optimizer – Image Alt Text, Caption & Description Generator** or upload the ZIP file. 3. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**. 4. After activation, go to **Dashboard Magnet Media Optimizer** to start using the plugin. ### Manual Installation 1. Download the plugin ZIP file. 2. Go to **Plugins Add New Upload Plugin**. 3. It currently uses EXIF metadata, filenames, and post titles — depending on your settings. AI-powered generation (OpenAI and Anthropic Claude) is coming in a future release; a preview of that option is already visible on the Settings page. ### Will this overwrite my existing ALT text, caption, or description? No. The plugin only fills in values that are empty, whether generated automatically on upload or via the bulk tools. ### Does WebP conversion replace my original images? No, by default originals are kept alongside their WebP copy. If you’d rather save disk space, you can enable “Delete original after conversion” on the Settings page— but this permanently deletes the original file. ### Will this slow down my site? Not at all. It does not load scripts on the frontend and is optimized for performance. ### Is this compatible with page builders? Yes — 100% compatible with Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Gutenberg, and all modern builders. ### Can I bulk optimize my old images? Yes.
