Register to media library

This create a thumbnail of the image file.
This create a metadata(Images, Videos, Audios).
Change the date/time.

Note

If you want to use a multi-byte file name, use UTF-8. The file name is used as the title during registration, but is sanitized and changed to a different file name.

What I liked: Recognizes existing thumbnails versions of the image and keeps them intact Ajax operation, so not as likely to run into PHP timeout Correctly recognizes if files are registered or not Choose folder or subfolders to scan with "Select Register" Thanks for a great plugin!

This plugin is fantastic and does exactly what it is supposed to. Since the plugin "Add from Server" is no longer updated, I have long searched to find a worthy replacement. Here it is!! Why is this little plugin so unknown? I had to search really long to find it! I'm glad I found it and I made a donation to the developer 🙂 By the way: i don't understand the difference between this plugin and the other two: "Moving Media Library" and "Media from Zip"

Precisava para registrar na biblioteca as imagens enviadas via FTP. Funcionou com minha instalação Wordpress Multisite e registrou mais de 100 imagens de uma vez. Porém, não as registrou em ordem cronológica como estavam renomeadas. Começou pela imagem-47.jpg, depois foi pra imagem-12.jpg, depois para a imagem-78.jpg e assim foi. Então para mim, por causa desse ponto, não foi útil.

This plugin was very helpful in the process of migrating a website where uploading the media files via FTP was the only option available. However, the user interface needs improvement in terms of usability, design and following the WordPress conventions.
