Use Datastar, HTMX or Alpine Ajax to create rich, interactive blocks and pages—all with the simplicity of PHP. No JavaScript required. Hypermedia is a concept that extends the idea of hypertext by allowing for more complex interactions and data representations. It enables the use of AJAX, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events directly in HTML using attributes, without writing any JavaScript. It reuses an “old” concept, [Hypermedia](https://hypermedia.systems/), to handle the modern web in a more HTML-like and natural way. Currently, it includes: * [HTMX](https://htmx.org/) with [Hyperscript](https://hyperscript.org/). * [Alpine Ajax](https://alpine-ajax.js.org/) with [Alpine.js](https://alpinejs.dev/). * [Datastar](https://data-star.dev/). The plugin has an opt-in option, not enforced, to include these third-party libraries from a CDN (using the unpkg.com service). You must explicitly enable this option for privacy and security reasons. ## Screenshots * [[ * Main options page. * [[ * About ## Blocks This plugin provides 3 blocks. * HB Quote Block (JSON) A quote block with author attribution and styling – block. json implementation. * HB Hero Banner (JSON) A hero banner block with headline, subtitle, and call- to-action button – block.json implementation. * HB Content Card (JSON) A content card block with title, image, and nested content area – block.json implementation. ## Installation 1. Install HyperPress from WordPress repository. Plugins > Add New > Search for: HyperPress( or Hypermedia). Activate it. 2. Configure HyperPress at Settings > HyperPress. 3. It works seamlessly with HTMX, Datastar, and Alpine AJAX, so if you are interested in these technologies this a great bridge. The API is well-designed and easy to use. Helper functions make building reactive interfaces straightforward. The plugin integrates naturally with WordPress. What really stands out is the extensibility – the action hooks and filters allow for easy customization without touching core files. The maintainer is responsive on GitHub and quickly responds to issues and merges useful contributions.
